HISTORY

Ocean’s Edge was founded as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale in 2006 with the goal of raising up the next generation of worship leaders, songwriters, artists, producers, and musicians. Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale was founded in 1985 by a handful of believers and has now grown to more than 17,000 people who worship across ten campuses throughout South Florida.

LOCATION

Ocean’s Edge is located in sunny South Florida on the main campus of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. South Florida is a tropical, beautiful, and culturally diverse area filled with opportunities for off-campus learning and fun. The pace here is fast, and there’s always something to do!

No, we do not offer meal plans, but there are several dining options available on church campus including a full-service restaurant.

We recommend starting the application process at the beginning of your senior year in high school. Applications stay active for one year. The earlier you start the better chance you have of qualifying for scholarship opportunities.
We currently have one yearly application, due July 1 for the fall term.
OEU is located at the Fort Lauderdale campus of Calvary Chapel. Most of our classes take place here, but some may take place at our regional campuses throughout South Florida.
At this time, we do not offer minor areas of study, but stay tuned!

You will have the opportunity to grow in competence in the program you complete. If you receive a certificate or degree from one of our school partners, you may pursue your master’s degree at any other institution or simply work in your field.

Lecture classes are typically 20:1.

Credits earned at Visible Music College may transfer to another educational institution. Credits earned at another educational institution may or may not be accepted by Visible Music College. You should whether another educational institution will accept credits before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement.

Students who plan to attend OEU and enroll in one of our partnership schools (music oriented at Visible Music College and education and business for SEU) will first need to apply and be accepted to Ocean’s Edge and then apply to Visible Music College or Southeastern University.
