HISTORY

Ocean’s Edge School of Worship (OES) was founded as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale in 2006 with the goal of raising up the next generation of worship leaders, songwriters, artists, producers, and musicians. Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale was founded in 1985 by a handful of believers and has now grown to more than 17,000 people who worship across ten campuses throughout South Florida.

Since 2006, Ocean’s Edge has grown into a nationally recognized, award-winning program that has propelled and sent out over 350 next generation leaders into all the world. Alumni have gone on to use their leadership gifts as internationally renowned worship artists, producers, songwriters, filmmakers, professional musicians, creative directors, AV technicians, graphic designers, youth and family counselors, pastors, teachers, missionaries, small business owners, photographers, videographers, and more!

The first graduating class was in 2007, and we now have over 350 alumni. Here are a few of the churches our alumni have gone on to serve with: Elevation Church, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Two Rivers Church, Liberty University’s Traveling Worship Team, Victory Church Philadelphia, Anthem Church, Lifepoint Church, Pinelake Church, Seacoast Church, Coastal Community Church, Carolina Forest Community Church, and many more!
