Vision Statement
Ocean's Edge School of Worship will become a leader in equipping the next generation of Christian worship leaders and musicians to utilize their gifts and talents to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Through development in the core areas of Biblical Leadership, Musicianship, and Personal Development, we will help our students to grow in their gifts and mature as Christian leaders.
Our hope is to be a catalyst to those who are called to serve in music ministry, fulfilling God’s call in their life by equipping them both spiritually and musically. Imagine what it would be like to be in a place that empowers and equips you to fulfill your calling. At OE, this is our single purpose. Our vision is to be an innovative ministry that invests in people so they in turn can invest in others. The development of this school is in response to an overwhelming need for fully equipped musicians and worship leaders in the body of Christ. Our school has been developed by music ministry veterans who know what is needed to be effective in ministry and desire to see the kingdom of God grow as the next generation takes their place in the trenches.
Mission Statement
We exist to make disciples of all nations by training, equipping, and mobilizing Christian worship leaders and musicians to bring glory to God through their gifts and talents.
Our school has been designed from the ground up with the specific purpose of providing training and education to fulfill our mission. Imagine what it would be like to be personally raised up by experienced Christian musicians. At OE, we do just that with a school that has been carefully designed to meet the needs of those who are called to worship ministry. Because programs don’t make disciples, but people do, we limit the number of students to maintain a close-knit environment that promotes mentoring relationships between staff and students. Because we desire to see well-rounded, competent, and Godly believers at the end of our year together, we train the whole person, not just the musician part. To this end, our school targets the three core areas we believe to be critical in worship ministry: Ministry and Leadership, Musicianship and Personal Development.
Objectives:
Ocean's Edge School of Worship seeks to provide its students with artistic and personal pursuits that:
- Foster professional level competencies in musicianship, leadership, management, speaking skills, and discipleship.
- Refine the individual gifts and talents of students and prepare them for careers in ministry which reflect the diversity of today’s worship and church experience.
- Develop a strong spiritual foundation and Christian world view.
- Instill a biblically-based system of values and beliefs, and the ability to communicate and defend them effectively utilizing apologetics.
- Develop servant leadership skills with a focus on problem solving, communication, conflict resolution, and ministry administration.
- Enable students to employ their knowledge effectively by providing a comprehensive and relevant curriculum that reflects historical and current issues which shape the church.
- Develop character and integrity through structured personal development experiences, mentorship, and fellowship with other believers.
- Provide an environment in which all know they are valued members of a community that values integrity in all relationships.
- Assist students in determining their calling to do the will of God through all of life.
